AGRICULTURE

Agrofilaments are high tenacity polyester or polyamide (nylon) filaments with diameters from 1.8 mm to 3 mm. In agriculture they can be used to replace metal filaments, and in traditional raffia used to cover greenhouses, to support shadow fabrics, to create hedges and trellising for red fruit bushes and vines, for electric fences against animals, amongst other uses. The PET filaments for agriculture or F580 (made of nylon) are sold in skeins or spools of 10 kg and are also often used as guide lines, cable pulls and other applications. Filkemp also produces trimmer lines in various formats and profiles, in diameters between 1.80 mm and 3.00 mm for domestic and industrial machines. The various formats allow for a more efficient cut, but have lower durability in comparison with the more traditional round lines.

AGROFILAMENTS

PET cables are composed of raw materials and anti-UV additives, which ensure higher performance and durability. The fact of PET for agriculture range does not rust and maintains a soft surface throughout its life cycle, guarantees that the plant is not damaged, thereby preventing mildew and other plant diseases. Filkemp guarantees a minimum life span of 5 years, but is very common that these cables will last for 10 years or more, even when exposed to extreme outdoor environments.

TRIMMER LINE

The line to trim grass requires excellent malleability, surface resistance to the trimming and cutting, to be thermoresistant, to withstand repeated rotations and contact with the blade heads, stones, hard corners and other points of contact. The requirements are even more pronounced when used in industrial machines which have higher rotation speeds and power, and which use thicker line with a tendency to be more rigid. The G523 line is produced with a more sophisticated combination of Nylon polymers and copolymers, with the aim of increasing durability in truly tough conditions.
